Switzerland by ski
A shot in the winter alpine of Switzerland. A skitour up remote passes and snowy slopes.
A break and a look at the path ahead. Erwin, our guide, plows ahead through the snow and makes a passage for us to reach the distant ridge line.
"You are doing well, keep it up!"
Words of encouragement by Erwin, who was seemingly impressed by my performance on my first ever backcountry skitour.
A winter wonderland gradually turned into a hostile and icy environment. Close to the peak we encountered rough gales, biting ice crystals and temperatures far below 0°C.
The final descent. Carving fresh lines into the powder was an indescribable experience:  It's somewhere between a walk on clouds and a rush of adrenaline in your veins.
